Discreet is not the same as anonymous
Discretion means your audience, your fans and the people around you don’t see who you are. Anonymous would mean nobody knows. That isn’t possible and isn’t desirable either: a serious partnership starts with certainty about your age and identity.
- ID check. A trustworthy agency verifies your identity and age. Golden Deals only works with women aged 21 and over, and that check is part of it. Online platforms often ask for verification too.
- Registration as a business. As a self-employed creator you are registered with the KvK and known to the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst). That stays out of sight of your audience, but you are officially known as a business owner.
- Your address in the business register. If you work from home, your home address is in principle also your establishment address, and that is public. The KvK does not accept a PO box as an establishment address. At kvk.nl you can read what options exist to shield your address or use a different one. Look into this before you register.
- Your trade name. You choose it yourself and it doesn’t have to be your own name. Your personal details do stay linked to your registration.

Creating content without your face
Many creators don’t show their face. At Golden Deals working with a mask is possible and your face can be blurred in photos and videos. Keep the rest of the image neutral too:
- Choose a neutral background: no view from your window, no recognisable buildings, no photos on the wall and no post with your name on it.
- Watch out for mirrors, windows and shiny surfaces that show more than you intend.
- Think about recognisable features such as tattoos, birthmarks, jewellery or striking nails. Cover them or keep them out of shot if you prefer.
- Don’t wear clothes or use items that also appear in your private photos.
- Mind the sound: voices of housemates, a recognisable clock or background noise can give a lot away.
Metadata and location in your photos
Photos and videos often contain hidden information, such as the date, the device and sometimes the exact location where they were taken.
- Turn off location access for your camera app.
- Remove metadata before you share files, or use an app that does this automatically.
- Watch for visible times, notifications and names in screenshots.
- Post content with some delay, so nobody can work out where you are at that moment.
Keeping work and private life apart
- A separate phone. At Golden Deals a work phone through our company is possible if you want one. That way your private number never has to appear anywhere.
- A separate email address. Use an address that has nothing to do with your real name, only for work.
- Your own stage name. Pick a name you don’t use anywhere else.
- No link to private accounts. Don’t connect work accounts to your personal social media or contact list, and switch off contact suggestions where you can.
- Strong passwords and two-step verification. A taken-over account is one of the biggest privacy risks.
- A business bank account. A separate account keeps work and private life apart financially too.
How Golden Deals handles discretion
Discretion comes first for us. Working with a mask is possible, your face can be blurred and if you like we arrange a work phone, so work and private life stay separate. Our team handles the communication with customers and fans, so you don’t have to be available day and night yourself. We handle your data confidentially, also toward people around you. You decide what you create and where your boundaries lie.
